The Giant Stingray (Himantura chaophraya) is a freshwater species of Stingray, and one of, if not the, biggest species of Stingray. It is from the family Dasyatidae and the genus Himantura. It is a notable Bottom Feeder. From head to tail, the fish is cable of growing over 4 meters long, and weighing easily over 1000 pounds. This fish is responsible for several reported deaths, because of its barbed dagger-like tail it uses to stab into, and poison its prey.
